The Wall Street Journal visited Coalition School for Social Change, one of the high schools we serve in East Harlem. The story addresses the challenges faced by students and the school on a daily basis, and how Partnership is addressing these obstacles. Our team at Coalition runs peer mediation and mentoring groups, provides one-on-one counseling for students and parents, helps place students in jobs and internships and more. “I chose the better way instead of the violent way” says 17 year old Dyamir Parish, crediting his weekly Young Men’s Group for helping him make the right choices.
