On April 21, 2026, Partnership with Children and Soles4Souls came together at PS 194 Countee Cullen in Harlem for something bigger than a shoe distribution: a community showing up for its kids. With 250 pairs of shoes donated by Famous Footwear and Caleres, and over 60 corporate volunteers on the ground, students from PreK through 5th grade were fitted, celebrated, and sent home with brand-new kicks and a clear message: you are seen, and you are valued.

PS 194 has been a PWC Community School for ten years, a place where our social workers, teaching artists, family services staff, and Beacon after-school program are woven into the fabric of daily school life. The students who walked through those doors yesterday reflect the community we serve: resilient, creative, and deserving of every resource we can bring to them!
