PWC CEO’s op-ed on the proven need for social workers in schools
Partnership with Children’s CEO, Margaret Crotty wrote an op-ed supporting the recognized need for social workers in schools, because “once mental health issues interfere with learning, they become education issues.”
Margaret highlights the neuroscience that supports our work as well as the proven results of full-time social workers providing trauma-informed care in schools: improved test scores, attendance, graduation rates, and on-time promotions. “Social worker support in New York City schools is not a ‘nice-to-have.’ It is imperative.”
