Martin Van Buren H.S. Shows Academic Improvements
A recent article in the Queens Tribune highlights the successes of Martin Van Buren High School in Queens Village, NY in attendance, Regents completion, and graduation rates—all metrics we have been working on with the school in partnership with Talent Development Secondary (TDS). Van Buren was categorized as a Renewal School in the 2014-2015 school year, which meant it was identified as a low-performing school. As a result, Van Buren’s attendance, Regents completion, and graduation rates are being closely monitored for two years by the city. Van Buren was recognized for its improvement between the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 school years.
